The Centre d’Alphabétisation Fonctionnelle du CJARC est un espace dédié à l’éducation de base et au développement personnel des personnes aveugles et malvoyantes. Conscient que l’accès à l’information et au savoir est un droit fondamental pour tous, le CJARC a mis en place ce centre pour offrir une seconde chance à ceux qui n’ont pas eu l’opportunité de suivre un parcours scolaire classique.

Our literacy program is functional, meaning it is oriented towards the daily needs of learners. It aims to convey useful skills for everyday life: reading and writing in Braille and print, arithmetic, orientation and mobility, communication, as well as an introduction to adapted computer science.

The Functional Literacy Center of CJARC is a space dedicated to basic education and personal development for blind and visually impaired individuals. Aware that access to information and knowledge is a fundamental right for all, CJARC has established this center to provide a second chance for those who have not had the opportunity to follow a traditional academic path.

Thanks to a qualified and committed educational team, the Functional Literacy Center of CJARC is a real springboard for the rehabilitation, social integration, and full development of blind and visually impaired individuals in Cameroon.
