Registrations and Access
The Functional Literacy Center of CJARC is open to all blind or visually impaired individuals wishing to acquire or strengthen their basic skills for better integration into society.
Admission Requirements
- Be visually impaired (total blindness or low vision)
- Be aged 15 years and older
- Demonstrate a genuine motivation to learn and become autonomous
- Have a prior assessment of needs and abilities (conducted during the welcome interview)
No prior educational level is required. Access to the Center is free, thanks to the support of our partners and the commitment of CJARC to inclusive education.
Registration Procedure
- Initial Contact: By phone, email, or directly at the CJARC headquarters
- Individual Interview: Assessment of the person's needs and orientation towards the appropriate level
- Filling out the Registration Form: Accompanied by an ID photo and, if available, a visual disability certificate
- Validation and Integration: The file is reviewed and validated by the educational team. The learner is then integrated into a training session.
Registration Periods
Registrations are open throughout the year, with intakes organized by session. We recommend registering at the beginning of the quarter for better pedagogical integration.
Access to the Center
The Center is located within the CJARC headquarters in Yaoundé. It is easily accessible by public transport. Facilities are provided to accommodate people with reduced mobility or those requiring assistance.
