ABOUT CJARC
On February 19, 2013, the Club des Jeunes Aveugles Réhabilités du Cameroun (CJARC) reached an important milestone in its development. By decree No 0000045/A/MINATD/DAP/SDLP/SONG, it officially changed its status. From an association, it has become a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) recognized by the Cameroonian State.
A. cjarc's vision :
The CJARC, Club des Jeunes Aveugles Réhabilités du Cameroun, has been working since its creation to improve the condition of blind people throughout the country. Its vision is clear: to make every blind person an active, autonomous citizen, fully integrated into Cameroonian society.
To make this vision a reality, CJARC's mission is to promote the rehabilitation, education and fulfillment of people living with visual impairment. The organization places educational and professional integration at the heart of its actions. This is why it develops training programs adapted to all ages.
Faced with the marginalization of people with disabilities, particularly the blind, CJARC is active in the field. It identifies and accompanies blind people in both large cities and rural areas. Thanks to this commitment, thousands of lives are transformed every year.
B. cjarc's objectives :
CJARC's main objectives are to :
- Blindness prevention initiatives
- Raise awareness of the problems of the visually impaired in society in general, and particularly among decision-makers and families of the visually impaired.
- Putting each other's experience to work for the benefit of all, in particular through vocational training and education for people with disabilities.
- Developing income-generating activities and promoting the well-being of visually impaired women and children
- Promoting cultural values, sport and excellence within the large family of visually impaired people
- To be the spokesperson for its members in particular and for all blind people in general, in order to encourage public authorities, civil society and development partners to take greater account of the concerns of blind people, who need facilities of all kinds for better social and political integration.
