Founded in 2003 by order no. 5103\/2003 of the French Ministry of Education, the EPBILB has been catering for blind children, children with special needs and so-called normal children since 2004, from nursery school (early childhood) to CM2.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"652\" data-end=\"1055\">Located on the site of CJARC headquarters, the school has 8 classrooms, most of which were built using temporary materials. Every year, some 200 children attend the school, including 33 visually impaired children, all taught by 12 qualified teachers. Each visually-impaired child who joins the Louis Braille school receives a personalized interview, after which he or she is directed either towards learning Braille, or directly towards elementary school.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1854\">As far as medical care is concerned, the school infirmary remains ineffective due to a lack of financial and material resources. The aim is to help these young people find a school adapted to their needs, or to integrate the one of their choice. To achieve this, CJARC works closely with several high schools and colleges in Cameroon, in particular with the support of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Secondary Education. Thanks to these partnerships, visually impaired and blind pupils and students are regularly admitted to establishments such as the Lyc\u00e9e bilingue d'Ekounou in Yaound\u00e9.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"1531\">CJARC also offers a <strong data-start=\"926\" data-end=\"954\">transcription service<\/strong>, which plays an essential role in the educational integration of blind students. This service acts as an interface between blind students and sighted teachers. It enables documents and assessment tests (sequences, exams such as CEP, BEPC, BAC) to be converted from black to Braille for visually impaired pupils, and from Braille to black for sighted pupils. In addition, this team is often called upon to transcribe tests for entrance examinations to leading national schools such as ENAM, ESSTIC and many others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-68d9927 e-flex e-con-boxed wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"68d9927\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b121a96 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b121a96\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"\" data-start=\"314\" data-end=\"896\">The <strong data-start=\"1536\" data-end=\"1580\">monitoring students' educational integration<\/strong> and visually impaired students is not limited to Yaound\u00e9. It extends throughout the country, thanks to the CJARC branches. It aims to promote the autonomy, social integration and economic reintegration of blind and partially-sighted people. We offer several types of training.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c9fe994 e-flex e-con-boxed wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c9fe994\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-772d318 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"772d318\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"797\">Craft training<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"1150\">Craftsmanship was one of the first training courses set up at CJARC. It involves learning to weave chairs, make baskets and other objets d'art.<br data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"978\" \/>This activity plays a fundamental role in the personal development and empowerment of blind people. It also includes an introduction to pig breeding.<\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1185\">Poultry farming training<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1187\" data-end=\"1584\">At the Centre de Production Avicole de Ahala, the visually impaired are trained to raise broiler chickens.<br data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1303\" \/>They learn how to welcome chicks, administer treatments, prepare feeders and waterers, and manage nutritional needs.<br data-start=\"1459\" data-end=\"1462\" \/>Available for several years, this training has helped to rehabilitate many visually impaired people.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0b0dfa7 e-flex e-con-boxed wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"0b0dfa7\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-44742a1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"44742a1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1586\" data-end=\"1610\">Braille training<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1612\" data-end=\"1964\">CJARC offers training in Braille reading and writing. This literacy is essential for inclusion in school and at work.<br data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1770\" \/>It is aimed at both blind and sighted people wishing to master Braille.<br data-start=\"1884\" data-end=\"1887\" \/>It enables better communication and autonomy in daily life.<\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1966\" data-end=\"1995\">Computer training<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1997\" data-end=\"2400\">Blind people have access to computer training. Formation scolaire pour les non-voyants Dans son r\u00f4le d&rsquo;\u00e9ducateur, le CJARC propose une formation au niveau primaire, offrant ainsi aux non-voyants une base solide pour leur avenir. En outre, le CJARC soutient l&rsquo;insertion des personnes handicap\u00e9es visuelles dans des \u00e9tablissements secondaires et universitaires, leur ouvrant ainsi de nouvelles opportunit\u00e9s d&rsquo;\u00e9ducation et de d\u00e9veloppement personnel. \u00c9ducation pour les non-voyants au niveau primaire : L\u2019\u00e9cole Louis Braille Le CJARC dispose d&rsquo;une \u00e9cole maternelle et primaire bilingue int\u00e9gr\u00e9e, l\u2019\u00c9cole Primaire Bilingue Int\u00e9gr\u00e9e Louis Braille (EPBILB). Fond\u00e9e en 2003 par arr\u00eat\u00e9 n\u00b0 5103\/2003 du Minist\u00e8re de l&rsquo;\u00c9ducation Nationale, l&rsquo;EPBILB accueille, depuis 2004, des enfants non-voyants, des enfants ayant des besoins sp\u00e9ciaux, ainsi que des enfants dits normaux, de la maternelle (petite enfance) au CM2. Situ\u00e9e sur le site du si\u00e8ge du CJARC, l&rsquo;\u00e9cole dispose de 8 salles de classe, dont la plupart ont \u00e9t\u00e9 construites avec des mat\u00e9riaux provisoires. Chaque ann\u00e9e, environ 200 enfants y sont accueillis, dont 33 malvoyants, tous encadr\u00e9s par 12 enseignants qualifi\u00e9s. Pour cela, le CJARC collabore \u00e9troitement avec plusieurs lyc\u00e9es et coll\u00e8ges du Cameroun, en particulier avec le soutien du minist\u00e8re des Affaires sociales et des Enseignements secondaires. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces partenariats, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves et \u00e9tudiants malvoyants et non-voyants sont r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement admis dans des \u00e9tablissements tels que le Lyc\u00e9e bilingue d&rsquo;Ekounou \u00e0 Yaound\u00e9. Le CJARC offre \u00e9galement un service de transcription, qui joue un r\u00f4le essentiel dans l&rsquo;insertion scolaire des \u00e9l\u00e8ves non-voyants. Ce service fonctionne comme une interface entre les \u00e9l\u00e8ves non-voyants et les enseignants voyants. Il permet la restitution des documents et des \u00e9preuves d\u2019\u00e9valuation (s\u00e9quences, examens comme le CEP, BEPC, BAC) du noir au braille pour les d\u00e9ficients visuels, et du braille au noir pour les voyants. De plus, cette \u00e9quipe est souvent sollicit\u00e9e pour la transcription des \u00e9preuves dans le cadre des concours d&rsquo;entr\u00e9e dans les grandes \u00e9coles nationales, telles que l&rsquo;ENAM, l&rsquo;ESSTIC, et bien d&rsquo;autres. Le suivi de l\u2019insertion scolaire des \u00e9l\u00e8ves et des \u00e9tudiants malvoyants ne se limite pas \u00e0 la ville de Yaound\u00e9. Il s\u2019\u00e9tend sur tout le territoire national gr\u00e2ce aux antennes du CJARC. Par ailleurs, les \u00e9tudiants aveugles b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d&rsquo;un appui financier et technique, qui leur permet de poursuivre leurs \u00e9tudes dans de bonnes conditions. Formation professionnelle des personnes non voyantes La formation professionnelle constitue un pilier essentiel de l\u2019action du CJARC. Elle vise \u00e0 favoriser l\u2019autonomie, l\u2019insertion sociale et la r\u00e9insertion \u00e9conomique des personnes non et malvoyantes. Plusieurs axes de formation sont propos\u00e9s. Formation en artisanat L\u2019artisanat est l\u2019une des premi\u00e8res formations mises en place au CJARC. Elle concerne l\u2019apprentissage du tissage de chaises, la fabrication de paniers et d\u2019autres objets d\u2019art.Cette activit\u00e9 joue un r\u00f4le fondamental dans le d\u00e9veloppement personnel et l\u2019autonomisation des personnes non voyantes. \u00c0 cela s\u2019ajoute une initiation \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9levage de porcs. Formation \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9levage avicole Au Centre de Production Avicole de Ahala, les personnes malvoyantes sont form\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9levage de poulets de chair.Ils apprennent \u00e0 accueillir les poussins, \u00e0 leur administrer les traitements, \u00e0 pr\u00e9parer les mangeoires et abreuvoirs, et \u00e0 g\u00e9rer les besoins nutritionnels.Dispos\u00e9e depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, cette formation a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9habiliter de nombreuses personnes d\u00e9ficientes visuelles. Formation en braille Le CJARC propose une formation \u00e0 la lecture et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9criture en braille.
